Custom software development
We build bespoke software designed around your processes and integrated with your existing systems.
What is custom software?
Custom software is software designed from scratch around one organisation’s processes, user roles and existing systems. Off-the-shelf packages are built for common needs; custom software is built around the way you work.
At Coratlas, one team runs custom software projects from requirements analysis to post-launch support. We build enterprise web software, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, mobile apps and system integrations.
- The software follows your workflow, not the other way round
- Two-way integration with ERP, CRM, accounting and communication systems
- Ownership, licensing and data terms are set out clearly in the contract
- Maintenance, monitoring and technical support after launch
What kind of custom software do we build?
The type of project depends on the need; most projects combine several of the areas below.
Enterprise web software
Admin panels, customer and dealer portals, work tracking systems and approval workflows. Runs in the browser, no installation.
SaaS platforms
Multi-tenant cloud platforms that serve many customers from one infrastructure and fit a subscription model.
Mobile applications
iOS and Android apps for field teams, customers and members, working on the same data as your core system.
APIs and integrations
Secure, real-time data flow between ERP, CRM, accounting, email, WhatsApp and payment systems.
Cloud architecture
Scalable server architecture, backups, monitoring and zero-downtime release processes.
Reporting and dashboards
Live indicators that bring scattered data onto one screen, with Excel exports.
Off-the-shelf or custom software?
Either can be the right choice. If your processes are standard, a packaged product is faster and cheaper; if they are specific to you, custom software costs less in the long run.
| Criterion | Off-the-shelf software | Custom software |
|---|---|---|
| Process fit | You adapt to the software | The software is designed around your process |
| Upfront cost | Low | Higher |
| Long-term cost | Grows with users and modules | Not tied to user count; predictable maintenance cost |
| Time to go live | Days or weeks | Weeks or months depending on scope |
| Integration | Limited to the vendor’s connectors | Tailored integration with any system you need |
| Ownership | The licence is rented | Terms are set for you in the project contract |
| Best for | Standard processes, a fast start | Unique processes, competitive edge, scale |
Our custom software development process
Stages, deliverables and responsibilities are defined up front in every project, and progress is reported regularly.
- 01
Requirements analysis
Business processes, user roles and existing systems are reviewed; scope and priorities are set.
- 02
Architecture design
The data model, integration points and infrastructure are designed for scalability and security.
- 03
Development and testing
Development runs in stages; each stage is verified with automated and user tests.
- 04
Launch and support
The system goes live in a controlled way; monitoring, maintenance and support continue.
What determines the cost of custom software?
Custom software has no fixed list price. The cost is calculated for each organisation after the initial analysis meeting, based on the factors below.
The initial analysis meeting is free. We reply within 1 business day and follow the meeting with a roadmap covering scope, timeline and budget.
- Scope
- The number of modules and screens and the complexity of the business rules.
- Integrations
- How many systems need to be connected and the state of their APIs.
- Platform
- Web only, web and mobile, or a multi-tenant SaaS structure.
- Data and security
- Data migration, permissions, audit logs and data protection requirements.
- Maintenance and support
- The response time and development capacity expected after launch.
Frequently asked questions about custom software
How long does a custom software project take?
It depends on scope. A limited admin panel takes weeks; a multi-module platform takes months. Because development runs in stages, the first working version is in use before the project ends.
How is custom software priced?
The price depends on the number of modules, integrations, the platform (web, mobile, SaaS) and the support you expect. After a free initial analysis we provide a written proposal covering scope, timeline and budget.
Who owns the source code and the data?
Ownership of the source code and the data is set out clearly in the project contract. These terms are shared in writing at the proposal stage.
Will it integrate with our existing systems?
Yes. We build secure, two-way, API-based integrations with third-party services, especially ERP, CRM, accounting and communication systems.
If one of your ready-made products meets our need, do you still recommend custom software?
No. Coratlas STK for associations and Coratlas Klinik for health tourism clinics are ready-made products. If they cover your need, a packaged product is a faster and cheaper start.
Do you provide support after launch?
Yes. Maintenance, monitoring, updates and technical support are provided under a service agreement.
